14Fit, width and platform geometry
Fit and stability interact. A guided midsole still fails if the upper pinches, the heel slips, or the toe box is wrong. Start with length, width and lockdown — then evaluate how the platform feels.
Official width options (narrow, wide, extra-wide) are about upper volume and last. They are not the same as a wide midsole platform. A shoe can offer a 2E upper while still having a relatively narrow foam base — or the reverse.
